ObjectiveTo investigate the altered expression of c-jun/activator protein-1 in lung injury of diabetic rats after lipopolysaccharide(LPS) stimulation and the effect of these changes.MethodsThirty-six male Sprague-Dawleg(SD) rats were divided into four groups, group A:the control group;group B:the LPS stimulated group;group C:the diabetic group;group D:the diabetic group with LPS stimulation.c-jun/AP-1 in lung tissue were measured by immunocytochemistry analysis.ResultsThe expression of c-jun/AP-1 in group B and group C were higher than that in group A(p<0.01).The expression of c-jun/AP-1 in group B was obviously higher than that of group D(P<0.01).The expression of c-jun/AP-1 in group C was less than that of group D(P<0.01).ConclutionsThe expression of c-jun/AP-1 in lung tissue of diabetic rats compared with normal rats was significantly increased, suggesting c-jun/AP-1 involved in lung damage in diabetic rats; in the application of LPS in rats, the expression of c-jun/AP-1 in the diabetic group rat significantly was lower than normal rats, which shows that diabetic rats after application of LPS produced infectious emergency injury, c-jun/AP-1 response capacity was decreased, suggesting that further lead to diabetes abnormal immune response, thereby regulating cell factor out of control, can not play the normal defense functions.
