| Objective:To investigate the publishing information of 10 kinds of Chinese medical education journals about article numbers, sources, content characteristics, and to analyze the hot spots, research methods, and main achievement of the medical education research in China for providing a reference for improving medical education research in China.Methods:All published journals of 10 kinds of Chinese medical education journals in 2008 were collected. The data were qualitatively analyzed by SPSS13.0 soft ware.Results:The information on 10 kinds of medical education journals in 2008:7 kinds were founded in the 1980s,7 kinds were published bimonthly, and 9 kinds were sponsored by the colleges and universities, the total cited frequency and impact factor were the highest for China Higher Medical Education.10 kinds of medical education research journals published in 2008 to 4593 cases of medical education research papers:(1)The article numbers published in 2008 was the highest (439) in Guangdong province, followed by Beijing(262), Chongqing(260). The published article numbers in 2008 was the highest in Second Military Medical University, followed by Chongqing Medical University(135)and Southern Medical University(130). (2)The published articles were mainly from the colleges and universities(69.1%) and high professional schools(14.1%). (3) Of 4593 published papers in 2008,589 papers(16.3%) were on clinical medicine teaching,557(15.5%)on teaching methods,532(14.8%) on teaching management. (4) A total of 1834 papers(39.9%) were finished by the teachers for clinical medicine,1340(29.2%) by the teachers for fundamental medicine,852(18.5%) by the teaching management staff, 111(2.4%) by the teachers for prevention medicine. (5) The papers on experience accounted for more than a half, papers on investigation accounted for more than 10.0%, and papers on experimental research accounted for 6.2%. Problems for which improvements are made.Conclusion:The medical education journals are the main carriers for publishing the medical education papers, and have a certain scientific influence in China. The medical education journals could reflect not only the achievement of medical education research, but also its current status. |
