While technique gets more and more emphasis in colleges, the lack of humane education becomes more and more prominent and obvious. Medical has properties of both natural science and of humanities. Those properties require medical vocational colleges to pay close attention to the cultivation of human spirits of students while performing education activities.This article uses such research methods as literature referencing, comparative research, cases studies and interviews, etc. By looking at the curriculums of some majors in two medical vocational colleges, analyzing humanities related courses, interviewing teachers and students on the current situation of humanities education and comparing the current situation of humanities education in China with that of foreign countries, this article attempts to propose an effective model to advance the humanities education. 1. Change the mindset, strengthen leadership, and emphasize humanities education. 2. Hire great teachers to improve the quality of faculty. 3. To educate students from all aspects, enhance the construction of humanities courses. 4. Shine the professional education with human spirit. 5. Choose humanities courses related to medical careers. 6. Build a scientific evaluation system of education.This article attempts to find a feasible solution for humanities education in medical vocational colleges. The author hopes that students of medical vocational colleges can cultivate human spirit while learning professional skills to lay a solid cultural foundation for the further development of the students. The author also hopes that this article can be a reference for same type medical vocational colleges, as a means to boost the humanities education in medical vocational colleges.
