The Clinical Observation Of Electroacupuncture's Treatment Of Post-Stroke Depression On The Acupoint Of Forehead

Objective: To summarize the electroacupuncture's clinical effect of post-stroke depression( PSD) on the acupoint of forehead,lay the basis for further study.Method: 60 PSD patients were randomly devided into observation group and control group(each n=30). The two groups were received routine therapy to the apoplexy.In observation group,electroacupuncture were given at Shenting,Double Benshen(Zhi sanzhen), and Yintang,Double Sizhukong,selected the necessary points when they were needed.The control group were given Neurostan of oral drugs. All the paients were evaluated by HAMD(17) and TCM Rating Scale before treatment and 4 week after treatment.Assessing the treatment effect according to the score change of each scale.Results: The total effective rate of observation group and control group have no significant difference each other.( P>0.05)Compare the two groups before and after the treatment:after four weeks' treatment,differences are statistically significant in both observation group and control group,comparing with scoring before treatment in HAMD and TCM symptoms scale(P<0.05).Compare between observation group and control group:there are no significant differences in scoring with HAMD and TCM symptoms scale between two groups after treatment(P>0.05).While,the adverse reactions after the treating of two groups showed significant difference( P<0.05) .The onset time of the two groups were significantly different( P<0.05) .Conclusion: Electroacupuncture's treatment of Post-stroke depression on the acupoint of forehead has positive effects While, electroacupuncture is more suitable for clinical application because of its fast effect and less side effects.
