A Investigation Of Iodized Salt Consuming In Hetian District

Objective:To study the prevalence and existing problems of the consuming rate of qualified iodized salt in Xinjiang,and provide basis for making scientific program through the investigation from 2007 to 2009.Methods:The consuming salt samps random collected from local familys.the salt samps were tested immediately at the local after beening collected. All the city in hetian area were choosen to be invesgation. the cicy was divided into 5 sample area include all the direction. The iodine content of iodated salt samples was measured using iodometry titration..Results:from 2007 to 2009, the coverage rate of iodine salt in hetian were 55.79%,73.76%,84.06% respectively。The number of iodine salt sample in 2007 was 1286, the number of qualified sample was 1082。the rate of using qualified iodine salt was 84.14%.The number of iodine salt sample in 2008 was 1550, the number of qualified sample was 1550. the rate of using qualified iodine salt was 89.80%. The number of iodine salt sample in 2009 was 1967, the number of qualified sample was 1865。the rate of using qualified iodine salt was 94.81%. the coverage rate of iodine salt increasefrom55.79% to 84.06%.the average increase speed is22.75%. the qualified rate of iodine salt increased from 84.17% to 94.81%,the average increase speed is 6.13%. the rate of using qualified iodine salt increased from 46.94% to 79.7%, the average increase speed is 30.30%. coverage rate of iodine salt, qualified rate of iodine salt, the rate of using qualified iodine salt of Hetian didn't reach the National standard. But the three index have great chang from 2007 to 2009. the Hetian district need to strength education and the local government need do effort to improve the popularization rate of iodine salt and the quality of iodine salt...
