| Objective:We can established a model of dog acute pancreatitis by using retrograde injection of Sodium Taurocholate into cholangiopancreatic duct, and then observed the protective effects of epidural aneathesia on dogs acute pancreatitis by serum amylase,glucose,calcium,IL-6,IL-10,bax and bcl-2 changes of dogs after epidural aneathesia. Then Providing a theoretical basis and a safe and effective new method for acute pancreatitis.Methods: First, divded the 15 dogs into 3 groups randomly: the blank group (A group), the model group (B group) and the epidural group (C group). After general anesthesia, there will be a abdominal operation on the dogs, and then infused 0.5ml of 5% sodium taurocholate per kilogram into cholangiopancreatic duct slowly, whereas control group were infused the same amount physiological saline. Second, make L1-L2 epidural block on dogs. If the step above succeeds, we shoud wait for 30 minutes and then infuse 1 to 3 mg of 0.5% bupivacaine per kilogram into the epidural catheter, while the control group and model group received the same amount physiological saline.Bfore and after 1/2,1,2,6,12,24h after modeling, the blood samples from the femoral artery were abtained, then the serum amylase,glucose,calcium,IL-6,IL-10,bax and bcl-2 content were detected.Results: Group C having less serum amylase, glucose, calcium, and IL-6 dogs than group B (P <0.05), with significant statistical; And the activity of IL -10 was higher than that of group B (P <0.05) significantly, with significant statistical; And the activity of bax and bcl-2 was higher than that of group B too.Conclusion: Epidural block dose not only have a good analgesic effect for patients with acute pancreatitis, but also can slow down the deterioration of canine model of acute pancreatitis, and improve the cure rate of acute pancreatitis according to our experament.
