Background and purposeLaparoscopic adrenalectomy is considered the treatment of adrenal tumors "gold standard". Since pheochromocytoma of blood supply, operation and pneumoperitoneum laparoscopic surgery to stimulate the tumor, can cause excessive secretion of catecholamine, leading to the possibility of cardiovascular complications, greater difficulty than non-surgical pheochromocytoma surgery. This retrospective analysis of surgery by treatment of pheochromocytoma treatment of patients with clinical data of laparoscopic surgery for pheochromocytoma treatment efficacy and safety in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of pheochromocytoma level.Materials and methodsRetrospective analysis in May 2004-December 2009 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Urology, treatment, treatment by surgery and by histopathological examination confirmed 31 cases of adrenal pheochromocytoma in patients with clinical data, surgical methods, including traditional open surgery and laparoscopic surgery.ResultsAll cases were succseefully resceted tumor, surgery does not damage surrounding organs and large blood vessels, were proved to be pheochromocytoma. Of which 28 cases were followed up for 2months to 3 years after operation, blood pressure returned to normal in 25 caess.DiscussionLaparoscopic treatment of adrenal tumors with less trauma, less bleeding, faster recovery and so on. As a special pheochromocytoma pathophysiology, laparoscopic surgery more difficult than non-pheochrocytoma surgery. Correct diagnosis, adequate preoperative blood pressure, increase blood volume and improve cardiac function is prerequisite for successful operation, and operative skills are an important link to ensure successful operation.Conclusion With advances in laparoscopic equipment, urologist and laparoscopic operation techniques to improve the accumulation of experience, laparoscopic resection of pheochromocytoma will be more mature, laparoscopic adrenal pheochromocytoma resection has a good prospect.
