Kunshan Community Health Service Status And Countermeasures

Objective To investigate kunshan city community health organization operation and community health service status to promote further development of community health service, to improve kunshan city health service system ,and provide the basis for government and related departments.Methods The data were collected through document research and questionnaire. The data included the community health service organization construction, the business situation, residents satisfaction in Kunshan city in 2007 until 2009 . The data was analysed by SPSS Statistics 13.0.Results (1) Kunshan community health service status: by the end of 2009, there were 19 community health service centers, 142 community health stations. Community health service agencies workload overall shows ascendant trend. (2)By the end of 2009,the total of the city community medical service staff is 1,012, accounting for 50.50% of total for 20 ~ 39 years of age, 18.58% for 60 years and over; Certified structure, a higher percentage of the top three, is that doctors in rural areas, all-around doctor, nurse, respectively 37.35%,26.88%,17.98%;Community health service agencies in the personnel have no technical title of 10.57%, primary title of 36.46%, intermediate title of 14.13%, senior professional title of 1.48%, additional, rural doctors accounted for 37.35%; Education level, junior middle school and below 34.68%, college diploma accounts for diploma accounts for 27.27%, bachelor degree or above accounted for 13.35%, and personnel structure is not ideal, titles, education level somewhat low. (3)The community residents of community health service for overall satisfaction was 70.11%, including convenient degree (90.47%), service attitude (89.42%), the process of service (85.22%), service content (83.53%) and safety (83.13%), doctors skills (75.39%) and medical environment (74.77%), drug prices (31.36%), medical expenses, price and service facilities are below 60.00%, overall community health service satisfaction is not high.Conclusions The major problems in Kunshan community health services is that the community health service function still do not reach the designated position, that the community health service needs could not be met , and community health service personnel titles, education level was low, the structure was unreasonable. The community residents satisfaction is not high. Community health information construction lag behind the community health service. The community health service in Kunshan needs to be improved.
