Objective To describe demographic characteristics, AIDS knowledge and attitude, and current AIDS prevention stiutation in five drug Detox. Centers, to expore the main reason of AIDS prevention though the research of AIDS prevention in order to provide suggestions to prevent and control AIDS in Detox. Centers.Methods The qualitative and quantitative methods were done. Questionnaires were used to collect information among 163 polices and 450 drug users, and depth interviews were done among polices and staffes in five Detox. Centers. Cross sectional study were done and factors of AIDS prevention were investigatedResults 1. Younger took for 79.2%; minorities took for 58.2%; illiteracy took for 26.5%. the poorer whose annual incomes range from 1-999 Yuan dominate to 45.0% and farmers present to 43.8%. It was found that the lower education was the worse AIDS knowledge (P<0.05). There is no significance on the relevant AIDS attitude and AIDS knowledge (P>0.05). There is statistical significance on the intravenous drug behaviour and AIDS knowledge (P<0.05).2 The rate of AIDS knowledge achieves to 100% among administrators. While, the awareness rate of administrators'comprehend by policy just reaches to poorly 39.5%. The other awareness rate of occupational exposure just appears to 19.1% among administrators.
