| Objective:This research aims to investigate the curative effect of Hybrid coat on postoperative dentin hypersensitivity after full crown preparation, evaluate the practicability of Hybrid coat in the field of fixed prosthetics and provide the evidence of its clinical application. Extracted human premolars were selected to expose dentin and observed by means of a scanning electron microscopy to evaluate the sealing properties of Hybrid coat. Methods:A clinical trial used self-paired design, double-blind and numerical rating scales(NRS), to investigate the effect of applied on sensitivity of abutment teeth after crown preparation.92 teeth after crown preparation in 46 patients were divided into two groups randomly. In testing group:the dentin surface was treated by Hybrid coat, and in control group:the dentin surface was treated by warm sterile water as placebo. The patients were recalled for a NRS test of sensitivity of the prepared teeth before dentin hypersensitivity, after dentin hypersensitivity, after dentin hypersensitivity 14 days, after cement and after cement 3 month of the preparation. Results:The clinical result of the testing group was better than that of the control group. Conclusion:Hybrid coat is effective on relieving the dentin hypersensitivity of the vital teeth prepared for crowns. |
