The Retrospective Study On Combined Therapy- With Limb-salvage Of Osteosarcoma

Objecttive:To evaluate 18 cases of patients of China-Japan Union Hospital with osteosarcoma characteristics, operation treatment and prognosis.Methods:The data of Eighteen patients with Osteosarcoma were treated with en bloc resection and prosthetic replacement in our clinical division from the year of 2007 to 2011, average age is 38.1, diseased region were as follow:6 tumors were situated in proximal end of tibia,9 tumors were situated in femoral bone,2 tumors were situated in proximal end of humeral bone,1 tumors was situated in ischium,According to system for the surgical staging of musculoskeletal sarcoma created by Enneking。6 cases were classified at IIA, 12 cases were classified at IIB.9 of the patients had got 2 treatmentnorms preoperative chemotherapy, and through symptoms, signs, magneti-cresonance imaging and clinical test study observ-ations.Observe its two or three per patient surial rates, were retrospectively analyzed and summarized, discusses treatment and prognosis of patients with the relationship between them. Postoperative according to Enneking limb-salvage postoperative function in patients with follow-up evaluation standard function evaluation.Results:18 patients were followed up from 24 to 60 months with an average of 40 months.2 cases died within 12 months following operation; 4 patients underwent amputation because of recurrence;and the others were alive without deseases. All patients had no dislocation, loosening or breakage of prosthesis. The postoperative average ISOLS scale scorecases by Enneking's system was 24.1 point (range,20 to 28).Two group s clinical effect were appraised through recurrence and three-year survival which were 100%,11.1% in chemotherapy group and 77.8%,55.6% in not chemotherapy group.By statistical analysis, we can conclude that chemotherapy group and not chemotherapy group survival have obvious difference recurrence rate.Conclusion:This trial indicated that the prognosis of osteosarcoma was significantly correlated with preoperative chemotherapy,Enneking surgical stage, surgical method, early detection and wide excision were interventional methods to improve the survival of osteosarcoma. osteosarcoma comprehensive limb-salvage curative effect of satisfactory, obviously improving the quality of life of the patients,but because of economic reasons, now using the comprehensive treatment of the patient is less, along with our country economy development, this seminar gradually increase the sample size, prolong the follow-up time to further clear.
