A Clinic Study On Improving Quality Of Life Of The Patient After PCI With The Method Integrated Chinese And Western Mendicine

ObjectivesObserve the effect of a trial Yiqihuoxuehuatan drug to the CHD patients with Qi deficiency and phlegm stagnation syndrome after PCI in quality of life, cardiac function;discuss the effects of the method integrated Chinese and western mendicine to the CHD patients after PCI in the long-term treatment.MethodsBy using prospective randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled study, we observed 121 CHD patients who were treated by PCI and met the inclusion criteria in Guangdong provincial hospital and First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from 2008-9 to 2009-12. We drive the patients randomly to the trial group(The trial drug+conventional western medicine) and the control group (placebo+conventional western medicine). Respectively, before treatment, the first 90 days and 180 days after treatment, we observed the CHD patients in the Seattle Angina Questionnaire(SAQ), CHD Quality of Life Questionnaire in Integrative Medicine, cardiac function. On the day before treatment and 180days after treatment, we determined the LVEF and the trial drug's safety and adverse reactions.The date was putted into computer, and statisticed by SPSS17.0.ResultIn the SAQ and CHD Quality of Life Questionnaire in Integrative Medicine, the first 90 days and 180 days after treatment, two groups had effect in each dimension and total score, and their differences hand statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference between groups (P> 0.05). But the trial group scores may be higher than the control group in physical limitation (PL), anginal stability(AS), anginal frequency (AF), treatment-satisfaction (TS), mental health and social conditions. In LVEF and NYHA, compared with the control group,the trial group improved significantly, statistically significant difference between the groups (P< 0.05). LVEF and NYHA of trial group after the treatment improved significantly compared with the previous (P< 0.05), but LVEF and NYHA of the control group had no difference before and after treatment significance(P> 0.05).ConclusionThe method integrated Chinese and western medicine may improve quality of life of CHD patients after PCI. And based therapy plus conventional western medicine with the trial Yiqihuoxuehuatan drug treatment significantly improved cardiac function in patients after PCI.
