Research On The Effects Of Kidney Tonifying Therapy To Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura Of Kidney Deficiency Syndrome

BackgroundImmune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is an acquired disease with abnormality of immune system, which is characterized by thrombocytopenia. Its definition is that, the number of platelet around the peripheral is less than 100×109/L, the cause is unbeknown and indefined. ITP is a most common clinical diseases,30% out of a total of hemorrhagic diseases. ITP attacks repeatedly and frequently, it would not be healed even taking a long time. According to the ideas of TCM, being sick for a long time would make patients waker and kidney is the source of blood. Through a survey of CITP's cause and system, we figured out that there is a close correlation of CITP and kidney. So we used kidney tonifying therapy in years of clinical treatments and found that effectively worked out, the number of platelet increased.PurposeOn retrospect of studies on kidney tonifying therapy to patients with CITP, comparing the changes of symptoms and scores of PLT, analyze the efficiency of this therapy. Investigate and discuss the advantages of the therapy on clinical application, and conclude the rules of prescription, providing a reference of kidney tonifying therapy on clinical application.Patients and Methods40 patients who met CITP criteria and were diagnosed as kidney deficiency were studied after they were hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from July,2002 to October,2010. Observe the qualified cases, compare the symptoms before and 4 weeks after the treatment, collect the scores of symptoms and changes of PLT.
