Business process reengineering (hereinafter as the BPR) is fundamental thinking and thorough reform to existing process of organization, for optimizing business structure, improving running efficiency, and it is general situation in hospital outpatient that the efficiency of business is not high, so BPR is necessary to be applied for hospital outpatient. This paper takes A hospital as research object, and uses the theory and methods of BPR, to make the systematic research on BPR of hospital outpatient, this paper includes the following five parts:The first part is an introduction. It proposes the background, purpose and significance of Hospital Outpatient BPR, states the status quo of BPR and BPR of hospital at home and abroad, proposes what is to be explored, how to be explored and the research methods, technological path of the paper.The second part is the basic theory about BPR of hospital outpatient. It analyzes the basic criterion, execution mode, and common process of BPR, based on which, it describes the general business process of hospital outpatient, sums up three objectives of hospital outpatient BPR, puts forward the execution process of hospital outpatient BPR.The third part studies on status analysis and reengineering thoughts of hospital outpatient BPR. Taking A hospital as example, it concludes the status and existing problems in hospital outpatient, expounds the causes of the outpatient process problem, and proposes the four criterions and the basic thoughts of BPR in hospital outpatient.The fourth part is about BPR scheme of A hospital outpatient. Based on the status and problems of A hospital outpatient business process, in view of several key outpatient process of A hospital, such as health card management, outpatient account management, doctor workstation and nurse wordstation of outpatient, etc, it designs the new business process of outpatient, and proposes the systematic functions on which the reengineered process depends for successful implementation.The last part is research on problems and countermeasures of BPR of A hospital outpatient. According to present behavior habits of doctors and the features of organizational culture, it points out the possible Resistance faced by A hospital in the process of BPR, and puts forward some safeguard measures for BPR of A hospital outpatient.
