| Objective:To investigate the situation of psychological stressor, anxiety and coping styles of clinical probationer nurses, explore the relationship between psychological stressor, coping styles and anxiety, analyze the principal relevant factors attributing to anxiety so as to provide scientific foundation for improving the psychological health of clinical probationer nurses.Methods:The method of questionnaire survey was used to investigate clinical probationer nurses in Hunan Province Tumor Hospital from July,2008 to May,2010. Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between psychological stressor, coping styles and anxiety. Logistic regression model was used to find out the related influencing factors of anxiety.Results:(1) SAS showed 25% of 216 clinical probationer nurses had anxiety (19.44% mild anxiety and 5.56% moderate anxiety, respectively).(2) Psychological stressors mainly came from interpersonal relations, society surroundings, working character and family situation, in which interpersonal relations was the most important stressor.(3) Compared with the normal, there were statistical significant difference in problem solving, recourse, fantasy, escaping and rationalization (P<0.01), but no difference in self-blame (P>0.05). (4) Positive coping styles (including problem solving and recourse) had negative correlation with anxiety and negative coping styles (including self-blame, fantasy, escaping and rationalization) had positive correlation with anxiety.(5) All the investigated stressors were positively correlated with anxiety.(6) Logistic regression showed interpersonal relations and professional attitude may be the risk factors of anxiety.Conclusion:Clinical probationer nurses'psychological stressors sand coping styles are closely related to anxiety. Bad interpersonal relations and the incorrect professional attitude may greatly contribute to the anxiety of clinical probationer nurses. Managers of hospital should think highly of the student nurses'anxiety and take effective measures, such as guiding student nurses to improve the interpersonal relations and professional attitude so as to release the pressure and anxiety to keep psychological health. |
