Objective: To systemic evaluate the effects of Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) and Cold Knife Conization (CKC) in the treatment of CIN.Methods: A search for relevant articles was run on CNKI, WeiPu, WanFang, Pubmed, EBSCO and Cochrane library from 1990 to July 2010. Randomized controlled trails of patients with CIN treated by LEEP or CKC were included. The revman 5.0 software was used for Meta-analysis according to Cochrane system evaluation method. Results: 17 randomized controlled trails involving 2234 patients were included. Meta-analysis showed that there was statistical significance in operation time, amount of blood loss, cure time, hospitalization time, height of excision and cost. There was no significant difference in cure rate, recurrence rate, persisting existence rate, residual rate, post-operation bleeding, post-operation cervical stenosis, the pathology, width and volume of excision and pregnancy outcome. Conclusion: Comparing with LEEP and CKC, although the therapeutic effect is similar, LEEP is better than CKC in operation time, amount of blood loss, cure time, hospitalization time and cost, it's worth to be recommended.
