Objective :To explore the expression of HIF-1α, VEGF and Et-1 in colorectal cancer and their Clinical significance. Methods : Immunohistochemistry SABC was used to detect the expression of HIF-1α,VEGF and Et-1 in 60 cases of colorectal carcinomas and 10 cases of cancer adjacent normal tissue, and the relationship between protein expression and clinical pathological features was analyzed . Results:The expression rate of HIF-1α,Et-1 and VEGF protein in cancer tissue were 48.3%(29/60),68.3%(41/60) and 73.3% (44/60) ,While both had no expression in norma1 tissue. The HIF-1αexpression was correlated with depth of infiltration , TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).There was correlation between the Et-1 expression and differentiation degree, depth of infiltration ,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0 . 05) , The expression of Et-1 increased with HIF-1α(p<0.05). The VEGF expression was correlate with TNM stage and lymph node metastasis P<0.05.Conclusion : HIF-1α, VEGF and Et-1 protein are useful markers for predicting the metastatic potential of colorectal cancer. The expression of HIF-1αwas correlated to that of Et-1, VEGF.Expression of the three proteins suggests a more possibilities of tumor metastasis, and combined analyses of the three markers may be useful in the choice of treatment modalities.
