【Objective】To explore the expressions and clinical significance of P38 and JNK in Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma (RCCC).【method】Immunohistochemical elivision method was performed to detect expression of p38 and JNK in 52 cases of Renal Clear Cell carcinoma and 20 cases of normal renal tissues which were closely adjacent to carcinoma.【Results】The positive expression rate of p38 was 75.00% in RCCC and 30.00% in normal renal tissues which were closely adjacent to carcinoma. The positive expression rate of JNK was 63.49% in RCCC and 25.00% in normal renal tissues which were closely adjacent to carcinoma. The positive expression rates of p38 and JNK were significantly higher in Renal Clear Cell carcinoma than in normal renal tissues which were closely adjacent to carcinoma (p<0.05 and p=0.03). Among the RCCC cases,the rate of positive expression of p38 and JNK was closely related to pathological grade and clinical stage(p<0.05).There was no significant correlation between the positive expression rate of p38 and JNK and other clinicopathologic features including gender and age (p>0.05).There was a positive correlation between p38 expression and JNK expression (r=0.484,p<0.001).【Conclusions】The positive expression rates of p38 and JNK were significantly higher in Renal Clear Cell carcinoma than in normal renal tissues which were closely adjacent to carcinoma. Among the RCCC cases,the rate of positive expression of p38 and JNK was closely related to pathological grade and clinical stage. P38 and JNK are involved in the carcinogenesis and progression of RCCC. Detection of these genes has positive effects on early diagnosis, malignancy determination, prognosis and treatment of RCCC.
