Objective: By observing the impact of Formula for HuaZhuoJieDuHeWei(HZJDHW) on chronic atrophic gastritis model rat't general situation, gastric mucosal morphology, gastric emptying rate, small intestinal transit ratio and motilin, explore the mechanism of HZJDHW in treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis and provide a theoretical basis for the clinical application of HZJDHW.Methods: The 66 SPF Wistar male rats fed adaptation a week, using random numbers divided into 2 groups, normal group 13,model 53.Modeling method adopt integrated modeling method, a total of three months. Randomly selected 3 rats from each the normal group and model group after three months to confirm the model was successful. After the modeling, the remaining torty rats which were randomly divided into five group : model group, WeiMeiSu group, high-dose treatment group, middle-dose treatment group and low-dose treatment group. Each group have eigth rats. Normal group and model group use NS (4ml) irritate rats stomach twice a day; high-dose treatment group, middle-dose treatment group and low-dose treatment group use HZJDHW irritate rats stomach twice a day, irritate amount calculated according to body surface area method. First calculate the amount of middle-dose treatment group, than high-dose treatment group is 2times of middle-dose treatment group,low-dose treatment group is 0.5times of middle-dose treatment group. WeiMeiSu group use WeiMeiSu liquid (0.4%) irritate rats stomach twice a day. Each group continuous irritate rats three months. After treatment, before the last administration rats in each group were fasted 18 hours(free water), 2 hours after the last administration, useing the semi-solid paste irritate rats according to 3ml/kg.Rats were killed after 40 minutes, Cut open the abdominal cavity, blood was obtained from the abdominal aorta, and take full stomach and small intestine. Observe the general situation of gastric mucosa. Weigh the total weight and net weight of the stomach, measure the full-length of pylorus to appendix and the full-length of pylorus to the forefront of the black semi-solid paste, then the gastric emptying rate and small intestinal transit ratio were calculated. Measurement data are expressed withX±s. Use SPSS17.0 statistical package for statistical analysis P<0.05 mean the difference was significant.Result:1,general conditions of rats: All the group of treatment and WeiMeiSu group can improve CAG rat's the mental state, food intake, body weight, activity status, coat color and conditions of faeces and piss, but high-dose group and middle-dose group have obvious influence.2,Observe the gastric mucosa by eyes:Compared with model group, all the group of treatment and WeiMeiSu group can improve the atrophic conditions of gastric mucosa, but high-dose group and middle-dose group have obvious influence.3,Gastric mucosa under light microscope observation: All the group of treatment and WeiMeiSu group can improve the atrophic conditions of gastric mucosa, but high-dose group and middle-dose group have obvious influence.4,Gastric emptying rate: Gastric emptying rate of model group(55.35±4.96),WeiMeiSu group (63.92±4.95) and all the treatment groups were significantly lower than the normal group(p﹤0.01). Gastric emptying rate of all the treatment groups were significantly higher than the model group(p﹤0.01),there is no significant difference between WeiMeiSu group and low-dose group(p=0.39),there is no significant difference between high-dose group and middle-dose group also(p=0.48), but high-dose group and middle-dose group have obvious influence.5,Small intestinal transit ratio : Small intestinal transit ratio of model group(44.87±5.04) , WeiMeiSu group(52.45±4.56) and all the treatment groups were significantly lower than the normal group(p﹤0.01),Small intestinal transit ratio of all the treatment groups were significantly higher than the model group(p﹤0.01), there is no significant difference between WeiMeiSu group and low-dose group(p=0.43),there is no significant difference between high-dose group and middle-dose group also(p=0.46), but high-dose group and middle-dose group have obvious influence。6,Motilin: comparison with normal group(49.56±5.72), motilin of model group and all treatment group are significant lower(p﹤0.01), motilin of all treatment group are higher than model group(p﹤0.01),there is no significant difference between high-dose group and middle-dose group also(p=0.27).Conclusion1,HZJDHW can improve the general state of CAG rats.2,HZJDHW can improve pathomorphology of gastric mucosa of CAG rats.3,HZJDHW can treat CAG by improving gastric emptying rate, small intestinal transit ratio and motilin.4,Treatment of HZJDHW on CAG is obviously effect, and high-dose group and middle-dose group were better than WeiMeiSu group, there is no significant difference between low-dose group and WeiMeiSu group.
