Objective:To explore the psychological experience of nurses experienced patient suicidal events.Method:By adopting the qualitative research method constituted of Edmund Husserl's viewpoint, according to semi- quantitative interview,6 nurses experienced patient suicidal events were interviewed from the three dimensions of cognition,emotion and will, and the date was analyzed by applying the Colaizzi analysis method, and arranged.Result:1,cognition experience:Nurses interviewed cognized that patients with suicide risk; there were some signs before patients suicide; the attribution to patients suicide include:"nurses'thought that they not do well","lack of family support for patients","doctors did not attach importance to the pessimistic mood in patients","doctors did not have timely communication with nurses "; nurse believed that rational allocation of nurses, strengthening of vigilance, increasing patrol room view, pay attention to psychological care, and strengthening communication between physicians and nurses can prevent patients from committing suicide; nurses'cognition of professional roles would have different degrees of change after experienced patient suicide, their nursing care career may produce fatigue, diminished enthusiasm and even disappointment; nurse believed that the handing of patient suicide including clear responsibilities of nurses, concerned about the mentality of nurses, and give nurses time to adjust.2,emotion experience:After patient suicide, nurse would experienced a series of negative emotion including fear,tension,anxiety,panic,compunction dejection pain pressure feeling, and so on.3,will experience:Before the incidence of patient suicidal events, the mainly negative emotion nurses aware of was panic and fear; after the incident, nurses could clearly aware of the adverse effects of negative emotion on work and life. The mainly behavioral ways of nurses control their negative emotion are "talking","leave adjustment", "self-regulation", "to avoid", and "dilute the impact by the use of time". The ability of nurses control the negative emotions were different with the different levels of nurses'willpower.Conclusion:Patients suicide events will lead to nurses'a series of negative emotion experience in different degrees, nurses will control the negative emotions by will behavior, and can receive cognition experience from the events.
