| [Objective] To investigate the appropriate nutritional support mode for post-pancreaticoduodenectomy patients, by comparing the post-surgical nutritional parameters, complications and performance status.Between Oct.2008-Oct.2009, we enrolled 20 patients into the prospective study.10 were classified in the PN group, while the other 10 in the EN group. We compare the post-surgical nutritional parameters, complications and performance status.1. There were no difference in the patient characteristics and operative parameters.2. Generally, no significance was found in the post-operative nutritional parameters.3. Generally, significant difference was found in the post-operative complications. EN seems to yield a safer post-operative atmosphere. If well indicated, EN combined with PN seems to be more adequate for post pancreaticoduodenectomy patients. |
