| Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of computed tomography angiography(CTA)in posterior circulation ischemia vertigo, clearly to definite etiological factors in patients with posterior circulation ischemia vertigo, for further medical or surgical treatment and prognosis. Methods 116 cases of posterior circulation ischemia vertigo patients conforming to some criteria and exclusion criteria were collected from January 2007 to February 2009 in our hospital, selecting 100 healthy people as control group, their clinical history and clinical signs, digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and CTA results were statistically analyzed. Results Of all 116 cases of posterior circulation ischemia vertigo patients and 100 cases of control group patients, logistic regression indicated that posterior circulation ischemia vertigo associated with diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Comparative analysis of CTA and DSA data found that subclavian artery stenosis 6 cases, anterior circulation vascular disease 2 cases, the results of CTA were consilient with DSA results. Another 108 cases detected in patients with posterior circulation vascular anomalies, of which 16 cases of basilar artery stenosis, CTA and DSA were all detected. Of 184 vertebral arteries in 92 cases ,based on the results of DSA,CTA sensitivity was 95.10% specificity was 92.68%, Kappa value was 0.8788.The degree of posterior circulation vascular stenosis diagnosed by CTA was positively correlated with DSA (r=0.991;P<0.001).Conclusion The diagnostic value of CTA in posterior circulation vascular stenosis and the degree of stenosis is similar to DSA ,is a very good evaluation of structural abnormalities of posterior circulation vessels. It has an important clinical significance for the diagnosis of posterior circulation ischemia vertigo. |
