| Objective:To assess the efficacy and of Modified Tu Huai Yin combined with Dualight targeted phototherapy system in the treatment of plaque type psoriasis.Methods:55 patients with plaque type psoriasis were divided into three groups randomly. 18 patients in group A were treated with only Modified Tu Huai Yin twice a day,17 patients in group B were treated with only UVB of Dualight targeted phototherapy system twice a week, and the other 20 patients in group C were treated with Modified Tu Huai Yin twice a day combined with UVB of Dualight targeted phototherapy system twice a week. ESI scores were evaluated to all the 55 patients weekly in the total 4 weeks treatment. Results:After the total 4 weeks treatment, ESI scores of patients in the three groups were all obviously lower (P<0.05) than the baseline. To compare Therapeutic Index (ESI scores decrease rate) of the three groups, there was a significantly difference (P<0.05) among them, the therapeutic index in group C was significantly higher than that in group A and group B, and the therapeutic index in group B was significantly higher than that in group A as well (P<0.05). To compare the effective rate of the three groups, there was no statistical difference between group A and B,and group B and C, but the effective rate of group C was significantly higher than that in group A (P<0.0167).Conclusions:It is indicated that Modified Tu Huai Yin and Dualight targeted phototherapy system have a preferably additive effect in the treatment of plaque type psoriasis. |
