Objctive: The intervertebral disc herniation(LIDH) comprises the morphological changes and a series of histological and biochemical changes of intervertebral disc.Cytokines may play a regulatory role on the pathogenesis of intervertebral disc degeneration and the clinical symptoms produced by axiality morphology. The role of proinflammatory mediators in the degene-ration of intervertebral disc and the inflammatory effects of disc herniations on neck pain has been previously published before. To study the levels expression the role of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6 in disc material and myelopathy associated with cervical intervertebral disc degeneration and neck pain, and analyze the correlation of herniated morphology with the production of TNF-α, IL-1α, IL-6.Method: Forty six patients undergoing surgery for cervical cervical intervertebral disc degeneration and neck pain were investigated. Surgically obtained disc materials, Patients with a history of previous cervical disc surgery, systemic inflammatory disease, neoplasm and trauma were not included. The expression of inflammatory mediators is by the immuno-histochemical method. Results: Very similar values of interleukin–6 were found in very samples. samples with more axial pain are high degree of disc degeneration and high level of expression of TNF-α, IL-1α, IL-6.Conclusion: The study found that TNF-α, IL-1α, and IL-6 can be find in in disc material of myelopathy associated with c ,and related to axial pain and intervertebral disc degeneration.
