Initial Research For Relationship Between The Body Constitutional Type In TCM And The Syndromes Of The H.pylori-related Gastritis

Objective:to investigate distribution of the H.pylori-related Gastritis patients, explore the relationship between the Body Constitutional Type in TCM and the Syndromes of the H.pylori-related Gastritis.Methods:By means of question investigation,343 patients with Hp-related Gastritis are gathered.They are categorized into nine constitution types, namely, gentleness type, gentleness type, qi-deficiency type, qi-depression type, wetness-heat type, phlegm-wet type, special inherited type, yang-deficiency type, yin-deficiency type and blood-stasis type. And they are categorized into five syndrome types, namely, syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach, syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach, syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral, syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach, syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach. Data base was established, the relationship of TCM constitution and the syndrome of the H.pylori-related gastritis were analyzed by SPSS statistical software.Results:1.The frequency of TCM Constitution types in H.pylori-related Gastritis in descending order is:wetness-heat type(19.82%)>qi-depression type (17.78%)>yang -deficiency type (14.87%)>gentleness type (13.70%)>qi-deficiency type (13.41%)>blood -stasis type(11.2%)> phlegm-wet type(5.54%)> yin-deficiency type (3.50%)> special inherited type (0.58%).2.The frequency of the Syndromes of the H.pylori-related Gastritis in descending order is: syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach(36.15%)> syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach(27.41%)> syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach(24.78%)> syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach(10.50%)> syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral(1.16%).3.Gastroscopoic and pathological manifestations have a bearing on TCM Constitution types. erythema and edema are common in qi-deficiency type,erosion is common in phlegm-wet type, chronic inflammation is frequent in qi-depression type and yang-deficiency type. Severe atrophy is seen in qi-deficiency type and yang-deficiency type,and intestinal metaplasia is seen in Qi-deficiency type.4. Qi-deficiency type and yang-deficiency type are common in the syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach; gentleness type, wetness-heat type,phlegm-wet type and blood-stasis type are common in syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach; Qi-depression type are common in syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach. Syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach and syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral is common in yang-deficiency type; Syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach is common in wetness-heat type;And syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach is common in qi-depression type and yang-deficiency type.Conclusion:Wetness-heat type, qi-depression type and yang-deficiency type are the major types of the the Body Constitutional Type in TCM of the H.pylori-related Gastritis. Syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach is the most.The second is syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach. We find that the patients of wetness-heat type are easy for spleen in syndrome of dampnessheat of spleen and stomach, and the patients of yang-deficiency type and qi-deficiency type are easy for spleen in syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach. It fits the basic pathogenesis of H.pylori-related Gastritis. It is indicative by this study that treatment of H.pylori-related Gastritis should combined with arguing body, disease and syndrome. Based on the patient's constitution of intervention and adjustment,we can improve the curative effect of TCM, we can reduce the recurrence,and prevent the disease.
