A Study On The Character Families Of The Pictophonetic Characters In"chuo"part Of Shuowenjiezi

ShuoWenJieZi wrote by XuShen is the first classics which had been arranged by the radical,analyzing the graphemic and word source systematically.It will be great benefit to the research of chinese words and linguistics to study the words of each radical of ShuoWenJieZi.So the thesis choose the radical of chuo of ShuoWenJieZi as the object of the research by the means ofThe article composes three parts.For the first part,we explanate the theory of the phonetic signs,the purpose of this study and the method of the research.Then,this paper exposits the meanings of the words in ShuoWenJieZi-Chuobu,and based upon it,it also systematically classify the words.For the third part,the thesis tries to do some textual research on the basis of tidying up the scattered materials on cognate words of the same phonetic sign in"chuo"part of ShuoWen in ancient Chinese books,so as to discuss the phnomenon that the phonetic signs of the pictophonetic characters can indicate the origins of the pictophonetic chaaracters.
