Peal S. Buck won 1932 Nobel Prize for Literature. Although she is an American, she had lived in China for more than thirty years. Most of her works relate the events about china. The Good Earth is one of her famous works, which described three generations of Chinese farmers. This work made her win many literature prizes . These prizes, her American identity, the work of Chinese subject matter, all of these made her under dispute in literature history.The paper expounds the cross-culture thoughts of The Good Earth from the author's identity, the acceptance of the readers and the text's narration. The paper analyses the text painstakingly, shows the culture identity and personal historical experience how to influence the author's writing, the new understanding of the work's acceptation how to differed by the reader's background, the text's narration how to appear between the Chinese and Western cultural.
