| This thesis mainly discusses the intellectual relationship between Liang Qichao and Qianjia school. After an entire study on Qianjia school, this thesis holds the following opinions: As the backbone and the highest level of the Qing dynasty science, Qianjia school gained its high position in the cultural history of China because of its fruitful intellectual achievement and distinguishing characteristics though it had its own shortcomings in the Historical Viewpoint, inclination and the object and the methods of study. Qianjia school contains many excellent factors of Chinese traditional culture, and had made contributions to the development of thoughts and learning.Firstly, it synthesized the textual research, making the textual research step into the climax. Secondly, it gained a fruitful intellectual achievement. Thirdly, it set a model for after ages, that is, learning manner of"seeking the truth out of facts"and the scientific learning method. Especially the latter provided a precious heritage for the development and improvement of modern bourgeois history in China. By studying the relationship between Liang Qichao and the l Qianjia school, this thesis holds that the excellent tradition of the textual research of Qianjia school deeply marked Liang Qichao's"new history"because there existed a deep relatonship in originality between them.From the view of his era, and with the help of western Positivism, Liang Qichao through his broad view and unique perspective critically inherited and promoted Qianjia school's learning manner of"seeking the truth out of facts", scientific learning method and emphasising on historical documents. He not only had achieved great learning results, but also had made significant contributions to the development and improvement of thoery and method system of bourgeois history in China and to the modern transition of Chinese history. Meanwhile, he also provided a canon specimen for how to assort with the relationship between acientry and modern, Chinese learning and Western learning in culture building, which had guiding significance. |
