As one of the ways of the mainstream ideology, movies and television plays on the subject of spy war, from the beginning of its birth became the thematic way of production by way of eulogizing the heroes on secret warlines and at the same time were warmly loved by the audiences because of the natural, strong dramatic conflict. They were relatively prefect Chinese characteristic type of play with combination of thoughts and arts. Since 2008, movies and television plays about spy war enormously emerged, reaching their unprecedented highlights both from quantity and quality."Concenl","LiMingZhiQian","Borrow Gun",even pushed movies and television plays into a series of audience climax, especially the stirring effect brought by"Concenl"was unprecedented. On the background of mass cultural consumption, the broadcasting of movies and television plays and the emergence of classical works provide an oportunity and soil for the study of mature type of play.The first chapter of the text describes the meaning of mainstream cultural expression in multi-cultural context. From the aspects of grand theme, hero complex and belief construction, the thematic implication of television plays was discussed and the importance that the mainstream discourse expression exerted upon today was also expounded. In the second chapter, it summarizes the developing history of movies and television plays and draws a conclusion: the fundamental characteristics of the mass culture of this type of play.
