A Study On The Narrative Strategy Of Character Documentary ——Also On The Graduation Work Home In The Far South

Character documentary is an important category of documentary.It takes people as the main object and records the occurrence of real people and events,so as to reveal the multifaceted life in real life.With the development trend of the civilian perspective of character documentary,the audience can peep into the living conditions of other individuals in a wider environment outside the narrow space of their own existence.From this point of view,this kind of character documentary can better meet the viewing needs.Character documentary,as an artistic mirror,allows us to subtly examine,reflect on and improve our values of life,and feel the humanistic care and life enlightenment brought by creators through a series of narrative strategies on the premise of reality.Narrative exists in all kinds of documentaries,especially those on civilian subjects.Narrative is one of the important means to transform the daily life of little people into story paragraphs.This paper mainly discusses the application of narrative strategy in character documentary,in order to make it better serve the narration,theme and aesthetics of the work.This paper mainly combines the personal graduation work "Far south home" and the classic case of character documentary,from four aspects to study the narrative strategy of character documentary.First of all,the introduction mainly expounds the research background,research significance,research methods and literature review of character documentary.The first chapter classifies the narrative structure of character documentary and discusses its application in classical character documentary and creation practice.The second chapter divides narrative language into visual and auditory aspects,focusing on the narrative function and application of long shots,close-up shots,empty shots,simultaneous voices and characters.The third chapter starts from the narrative skills of character documentary,and further discusses the application of narrative skills in the creation of character documentary on the theoretical basis of suspense setting,detail capture and conflict creation.The fourth chapter mainly summarizes and reflects on the application of narrative strategy in the creation of personal works.
