Female Consciousness:the Sadness Beyond The Bustle

In the mid 1980s ,the feminist has been accepted by Chinese writers。To the female writers who has been suppressed by male language power for so long time and want to build their a system of their own language,the feminist just like the thunder which could take hopes for them so they accepted it very quickly。This thesis chose three female writers for example who has some similarities like region and writing object .In the contrast of the three writers Zhang ailing ,Wang Anyi and Wei Hui, I also study the awaken and development of female consciousness。This thesis mainly adopt the way of close reading,and discuss from the following three parts.The first part mainly analyze the characters and the scenery of the word of their novel。Though the contrast of the female character ,male character,urban phenomenon,I analyze the female consciousness in the female characters life experience. The female characters consciousness in the novel of Zhang Ailing appear diversity,in the pressure of male language power their consciousness appears vague. But she began self-examination by her writing. The female characters in Wang Anyi,s novel usually have strong individuality and distinct personal consciousness. The characters in Wei Hui,s novel ,their female consciousness often appear diversity.The second part ,I analyze that the female characters sensitive in the emotion and their emotion full of pains through five parts ,just like love,marriage,kinship,friend,and sex。On the basis ,we can see the awaken and pursuit of equal and self-consciousness.The third part I analyze the narrative strategy when the female writers build the female consciousness。For example,the narrative mode the wake male and strong female,the female,s resist,the poetry life,the conception of history and body writing. According to the female,s way of life,they pay attention to the details. The body writing is a significant aspect of female writing. On the one hand,it breakthrough the taboo of female writing,on another,make females to be looked in the society which ruled by men.At last,I contrast the three writers and sum up their similarities and differences in their novel. On this basis,I think from the 1930s to 1990s the female consciousness mature gradually. Of course it has another extreme aspect. Analyze the reason why their writing get into trouble in order to predict the prospect of female consciousness in Chinese modern literature.
