The Study Folk Vocabulary Of Su Yu Dian

Su Yu Dian is a common saying dictionary that collected a very abundant common saying, appeared at the first half leaf of 20th century, the whole books is totally divided into 12 to gather and mark clearly with 12 each on gathering, according to my personal statistics, which covers seven thousand and three hundred twenty seven items. It is a very important common saying dictionary for its linguistic value and cultural value, Now, there are few people to study the book, so I will study it deeper with the help of folkloric linguistics theory. The book, not only the entry is abundant, but also the source and archeology of items are detailed. Because of social unrest, the work of collect common saying and compiling dictionaries is very slow and hard. The emergence of the book made contributions to the common saying's compile at that time. It also provides us to study folklore vocabularies. The article is mainly from the folklore linguistics'angle to study the folklore vocabularies. Primary theories in folklore linguistics as its foundation, strong support of those folklore vocabularies and written evidences in Su Yu Dian, my thesis is also referenced with research results in some correlative subjects, such as folklore, linguistics, sociology and etc. The thesis consists of two parts, namely Introduction and Text. The following is a brief introduction to them.The Introduction gives a brief view on the book from several aspects, such as its historic position research, social status, purposes of research, research methods as well as theoretical foundation for the research on folklore vocabulary.The Text includes four chapters. The first chapter provides a preparation for the investigation on the book, such as some information about the author of the book, its compiling layout, how it was accomplished, how many editions it has. The second chapter main analyses its compiling layout and the compiling layout's characteristics. The third chapter, Firstly, I discriminate between the common saying and folklore vocabulary. Secondly, mainly to study the origin of folklore language and rheology, its main approaches are characters allusions, production and life, folk belief, ancient classic poem. Thirdly, by means of classifying, the research on folklore vocabularies compiled in the book is undergone from the perspective of both folklore and linguistics. The vocabulary of folklore of the book consists of the vocabulary of the activity of matter, age festival, folk belief vocabulary and language folk vocabulary. Finally, makes a conclusion on features of the folklore vocabulary of Su Yu Dian, including characteristic of oral language, regionalism, hereditary, dynamic nature. The fourth chapter makes a comparison study on Tong Su Bian and Tongsu Changyan Shuzheng.
