| On May20 of 2006, the State Council released the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in which the Dragon Boat Festival contains 4 parts of"the Dragon Boat Festival custom of Qu Yuan's hometown in the Zigui county of Hubei province","Cisse Shenzhou fair in Huangshi of Hubei province","the Dragon Boat Festival custom beside the Miluo river in Miluo of Hunan province", and"the Dragon Boat Festival custom of Suzhou in Suzhou of Jiangsu province". On Sep30 of 2009, the fourth meeting for safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO intergovernmental committee examined and approved the 76 projects of Representative List of Intangible Culture Heritage, including the Chinese 22 projects which the Dragon Boat Festival from China is in.As intangible culture heritage and the traditional Chinese festival,the protection and inheritance of the Dragon Boat Festival is important.The protection and development of the Dragon Boat Festival cultural resources is in favor of strengthening the place and role in our economic and social development, and is conductive to developing Chinese harmonious socialist society. In a globalized world, the culture is increasingly diverse, and the traditional culture including the Dragon Boat Festival culture is being tested and is shocked by the foreign culture. The folk culture of the Dragon Boat Festival in China has a rich cultural connotations, we need to protect and develop the Dragon Boat Festival cultural resource without delay.Taking Shanghai public'awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival as an entry, this paper studies Shanghai public'awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival custom, of the Dragon Boat Festival as intangible culture heritage, and studies the Shanghai public participation in the Dragon Boat Festival. In comparative perspective, this paper aims to understand the different groups on the cognition of the Dragon Boat Festival, and investigated the cognitive channels. In this context, the Shanghai public'awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival is the research object, this paper focuses the following aspects:The first is the Shanghai public'awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival custom. As the traditional Chinese festival, the custom and the cultural connotation of the Dragon Boat Festival are the main contents of the conservation and heritage. This paper is based on empirical investigation, and analyzes the Shanghai public'awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival custom.The second is the Shanghai public'awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival as intangible culture heritage. The content includes the Shanghai public'cognition and the content of the Dragon Boat Festival as national and world-class intangible culture heritage. The third is the Shanghai public'paticipation in the Dragon Boat Festival. The paticipation is important for the protection and the development of he Dragon Boat Festival.The forth is the Shanghai public'cognitive channels of the Dragon Boat Festival. The best method to protect and pass on the Dragon Boat Festival cultural resources is to develop it. So the public'cognitive channels is worthy of study. |
