Teaching Chinese Character is an important part of TCFL. The elementary stage of Chinese Character Teaching is the initial stage of teaching Chinese Character. Based on the recent researches of Chinese characters teaching and the analysis of comparing with two teaching models, literacy and independent Chinese characters Course, we point out the shortages existed in teaching and try to find out and design a new model which is matched with the elementary comprehensive textbooks, more respectful to the rule of Chinese characters and learning Chinese characters. This paper not only illustrates the meaning, features and the operating procedures but also designs the Chinese characters' teaching content which is matched with Chinese Course (â… ,â…¡). This paper aims to make reasonable suggestions and feasible design for teaching Chinese characters at the present stage.The paper contains four parts. The 1 st chapter is Introduction, which explains the developing history and correlative researches about the Chinese characters teaching in recent years. It also illustrates the meaning of the topic. The 2nd chapter describes the initial stage of the two current kinds of popular model of teaching Chinese characters and their teaching effectiveness. The 3rd chapter describes the contents and characteristics of the new model, and take Chinese Course (â… ,â…¡) as an example to design a new model of teaching Chinese characters. The last chapter is the conclusion.
