A Study On The Glossary Of Qian Jiang Dialect

Qianjiang Dialect, along with the dialects of the entire Jianghan Plain area, belongs to the Official Languages area. Qianjiang Dialect is on the spoken edge of North Official Languages, the Jiangsu and Anhui Official Languages, and the Southwest Official Languages, neighboring the unofficial languages areas such as Jiangxi Dialect and Hunan Dialect. Qianjiang Dialect is part of the Southwest Official Languages, of which the glossary combines the south dialects and north dialects together.In this article, the author takes the glossary of Qianjiang dialect in Hubei Province as object of study. Based on the on-the-spot investigations, the author sorted out the glossary of Qianjiang dialect, by which the author made the comparasion of the words, especially the words between Qiangjiang dialect and Wuhan dialect, the words between Changsha dialect and Nanchang dialect. Meanwhile, the author summurizes the characteristics of the glossary of Qiangjiang dialect, collects and explores the words which bear its customs and culture in Qiangjiang dialect, so as to reveal the characteristic and uniqueness of the glossary of Qiangjiang dialect.The significance of this study lies in its thorough and deep research on the characteristic of the glossary of Qiangjiang dialect through the inspection of its glossary. It reveals the uniqueness of it glossary, and also the relation with the dialects around it, so as to make the conclusion that Qiangjiang dialect has the characteristic that combines north and south dialects.
