Han, Tibetan, Mongolian, Tu, Hui, Sala and other nationalities live together in Hehuang area. In this region, the Gelugpai Sect of Tibetan Buddhism's play an important role.In the past, the study of the Tibetan Buddhism in Hehuang mainly focuses on their monasteries, monks and Buddhist philosophy, less concerned about their impact on the lives of ordinary people. therefore,This paper focuses on the social life and attempts to explore Tibetan Buddhism's influence on people's lives in four aspects. basic necessities of life, burial, education and religious activities.In the diet,the monks can eat pork, beef and mutton, but does not allow to eat the other meet. In the residence, Tibetan Buddhism allow the monks have private house.there is little difference between monks'houses and normal people'houses,beside the monks are like Tibetan decoration.Seen from the funeral, the monks mainly in cremation,most of the local people adopt the burial.Whether the monks, nor the nomal people, will please monks to preach scriptures after death.the monks directly involved in the funeral activities.Before the establish of Republic of China, the social education in Hehuang aera is poor, Most people are illiterate.The temple has a fairly complete educational system, cultivating a large number of monks on the medical, astronomical calendar scientists, painters, sculptors, musicians and other talents. Cultural knowledge of the monks by giving medical treatment, divination, pick an auspicious day, and the chanting, praying and limitless disaster. Turn Undead, rain hail and other activities, so that Tibetan Buddhism and the local people living closely together.The Prayer Meetings are the important holidaies to the local pepole."butter lantern festival""is one of the most famous.The Prayer Meeting has the functions of to promete the Buddism,strengthen interpersonal communication,to make the life become more interesting,to promote the business and to meet the needs fo faiths.
