Senior school students are facing the most important period of choosing their future life and work, for they will soon go to college or step into society. What they are going through may be the hardest time all over their school years.Because our society is changing and developing very quickly and variously, some students have been confusing about their futures, some don't know what work and lives they should choose after their graduation, some even are so painful and fearful about them that they want to leave this world, as they think life is unmeaningful for them and so on. Because of these serious problems, it is very important for Chinese educators to do the research of the mental health of senior school students.In recent years, concerning about the mental health of senior school students is drawing the attention of more people from a variety of fields, which has made many educators devote to studying because of its great importance to Chinese modern education.The Author in this thesis firstly discusses the standard of mental health of senior school students and gives what should be paid attention to in getting across the standard. Secondly, in order to study about the mental health of senior school students, the author has done three researches in his local middle school---ShiJie Middle School of DongGuan, GuangDong Province. By using the psychological test of MSSMHS (by Professor Wang Jisheng) about the metal health level of students and the self-made questionnaire survey, the author has got to know what has caused the problems. What's more, the statistics of the psychological counseling date about the senior school students in ShiJie Middle School from September,2005 to March 2008 gives the author more information. Thirdly, with the author's long-term working experience, by using the result of the psychological test, referring to the self-made questionnaire survey and the statistics of the psychological counseling date of ShiJie Middle School, the author finds out that there are four main factors that influence the senior middle school students' mental health: the students own factor, the family factor, the school factor and the social factor. Finally, the author comes up with some countermeasures:to set up a separate organization for mental health education; to try to improve the teachers' educational ability; to organized a variety of educational activities; to combine the mental health education with subject teaching; to connect most of the families with school education; to try to be supported by the social environment.to pay special attention to the culture of schoolyard.The main problems that the author manages to disolve in this thesis are that the species, operative and effective countermeasures are presented at last by researching high school students'mental health and analyzing the results of three researchers carefully.
