A Probe Into The Performance Art Of The Double Dulcimer

The author of this thesis has learned the performance and the theory of the dulcimer from Professor Xiang Zuhua for about seven years and has been deeply influenced by Professor Xiang's dulcimer art. Based on the exploration of the quintessence of Xiang's performace art of the double dulcimer, this paper puts forward the distinctive understanding of the development, reform and innovation of dulcimer art. This thesis analyzes some of the Professor Xiang's dulcimer works, explores the teaching and artistic creation of the double dulcimer, and puts forward distinctive perception and evaluation about double dulcimer's practical aesthetical interpretation and further innovation problems.The study of this thesis lays a good foundation for future development and innovation of the dulcimer.
