Study Of Chinese Speech Pathology Of Cleft Palate And Speech Training After Operation Of Cleft Palate

Objective To study the reasons, characteristics and treatment ofpathologic speech in cleft palate.Methods Fourty-five cases were examined by combiningapplication of nosopharyngofiberoscope(NPF) and computer-spectrograpnic analysis system(CSAS) after operation of cleft palate and treated with obturater and speech training.Results The pathologic speech of all the 45 cases wasimproved.Fifteen cases(33.33%) obtained normal speech after takeing off the obturaters.Conclusion The obturater and speech training is a good way to treat pathologic speech of cleft palate. A new concept of Chinese speech pathology was put forward.
