《El Ingenioso Hidelgo Don Quijote de la Mancha》and {The True Story of AH Q}) are two great works in world literature. From their publication, the attention and interest from experts must never for a moment be relaxed. Although they are different in approach but equally satistactory in result. From their characters, we can see both of them have become the substitute for "inner winner", although Don Quijote and AH Q are different in facing life; from their structure, we can see that one is circular while the other is linear owing to the differences in eastern and western culture; from the craftsmanship, we can see artistic exaggeration in {El Ingenioso Hidelgo Don Quijote de la Mancha?, combining romanticism with realism, while in {The True Story of AH Q)) ,we can see stern realism, combining accurate description with inflated formation. From the style, we can see humour and irony in both of them.Moreover, deep in social meaning and aesthetics value, {El Ingenioso Hidelgo Don Quijote de la Mancha^ gives us a social look of great variety in the sixteenth and seventeenth century Spain, while {The True Story of AH Q)> shows us a clear picture of people's miserable life living in the countryside of old China, impoverished and backward. Still, from their "tearful smile", we can feel philosophy and poetic flavour, no matter it's tragic comedy or comedic tragedy.Thus it can be seen that {El Ingenioso Hidelgo Don Quijote de la Mancha)) and {The True Story of AH Q^ have a great influence upon each other, although each of them has its own characteristics. And so the article tries to compare {El Ingenioso Hidelgo Don Quijote de la Mancha}} with {The True Story of AH Q}} from their characters, structure, craftsmanship and style, probing deeply into their differences in similarities and their similarities in differences.
