This thesis intends to study the correlation between English learning motivation and learning strategies through a questionnaire survey conducted on two groups of students from New Oriental School and Beijing Peili University respectively. The two groups of students are supposed to hold different motivation and therefore adopt different learning strategies. The analysis can be divided into three parts: comparative analysis of the motivation, strategies and finally the correlation between the two factors.Chapter four reports the conclusion and major significance of this study.
