A Study On Folk Beliefs In The Area Of Jiangnan In The Eastern Jin And Southern Dynasties

During the period of the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties, worshipping witchcraft and valuing ghost is the important content of Jiangnan folk belief psychology,which,on the behaviour,showed the excessive worship to the god and the ghost.The study on the Jiangnan folk beliefs during the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties contributes to revealing the Jiangnan folk social and living conditions during this period.The visual angle of this thesis is around the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties'folk beliefs in the Area of Jiangnan and deals detailed with the forms of folk beliefs,the factors of influencing folk worship and the features of folk worship.In order to explain the influences of the literature of the witchcraft and ghost on the folk beliefs in the Area of Jiangnan,it shows the features of region,utilitarian,and pluralism and futher shows that the study on the Jiangnan folk beliefs has a some reference significance to studying further the social living history of Weijin and Southern-northern Dynasties.
