On Analogy

Analogy firstly was a rhetoric and writing means for image creating in the literary works, then was put forward as a format of theoretical category in ancient literature. Furthermore, analogy was then used as its theory frame in ancient literature criticism. The literary criticism by analogy can be widely and frequently seen. From this special perspective --beginning from the expressive way in the ancient literature criticism, this article will discuss the importance of analogy in frame forming, frame undoing and frame constructing when the ancient literature criticism theory came into being, and the subsequent poetic character of Chinese ancient literature criticism.
