| Shi Tie-sheng is an emotional writer. In Chinese contemporary literature, he is one of  the most outstanding writers, who play close attention to the humanism. After being handicapped, he probes into man's existence and destiny, and seeks for various spiritual resources to break away from the awkward predicament of surviving . The author attempts to come over to Shi Tie-sheng and get a glimpse of his inner world.  The thesis first discusses the three major predicaments in man's life that Shi Tie-sheng often refers to, namely , difference predicament ,desire predicament, loneliness predicament . In order to get rid of those predicaments, he gets involved into religions. From Buddhism he finds corresponding response in many aspects , but he can't accept the escapism mature of Buddhism and its banishment of  love, As for this point , he is deeply influenced by Christian theology , especially modern theology ,And "original sin" and "salvation" is the key of his thoughts ,because of which his novels have a theological flavor. However , in modern atheism context where the existence of God can't be proved, there is sure contradiction between theological pursuit and rational suspicion .Just in such a kind of  paradox, Shi Tie-sheng shoulders the heavy load of faith ,which is exactly the very significance of his position in contemporary literature. |
