Start from 1980,the forms of Chinese figure painting has become variable because of the tradition of native painting and the acception of foreign painting. Comparatively , three decades before 1980 the form of Chinese figure painting still remained monotonous. The two decades from 1980onward can be divided in to 3 periods: 1980-1984,the form of figure painting was multiple; 1985-1990 the form of figure painting was greatly influenced by the current of new ideas; 1991 till now, the emphersis was still on visual form. The uncertainty of art ,its power is widely acknowledge.The form only for visual effects have become an important content of art development.
