Ecofeminists argue that Western patriarchy is a system of ideas grounded in metaphysical dualism .This deep structural dualism pervades all aspects of knowing and valuing in Western thinking ,providing the undergirding for a habit of thought that promotes both the oppression of women and the destruction of natural enviroment. Ecofeminism's critique of Western dualistic metaphysics finds support in Ddaoism's nondualistic, patricularist, cosmological firamwork.,which distinguishes pairs of complementary opposites within a process of dynamic transformation without committing itself to a binary position .This is the key point that Daoism philosophy and Ecofeminism converge on.As a nondual philosophy, Daoism based on yin and yang model, and bears characterasitic of valuing of softness and keeping to modesty. This will be a contribution to a enviromental ethic. The thesis anslyzes the Ecofeminism's critique of Western dualistic metaphysics first , then compared with the care ethics of Ecofeminism. And based on Daoism's nondualistic cosmological framwork, the author try to develop a care enviromental ethic of Daoism. As the Daoism and Ecofeminism is a topic rarely studied, this research hopes to reveal some of the enviromental ethics issues .
