The Study On Cultural View Of Value And The Intervention Method Of Mental Crisis About College Students

As a focus of all circles' attention, mental crisis of college students has been studied mostly from the point of view of physiology, psychology or sociology. It is indicated by practice that the existing theories have their limitation, for they are not enough to eliminate people's perception of crisis thoroughly. Therefore, to introduce factor of cultural value to analysis of mental crisis intervention would help to develop the field of vision of mental crisis and make up the limitation of the existing crisis intervention system.Human beings created culture, and culture shaped up human beings. The meaningful way of life directed by culture constructs the 'ultimate solicitude', which supports human beings' mental world. The existence of human and all of their psychology and behavior can be comprehended from their pursuing for meaningful life style. And view of value may be the core of culture that constructs mental world. With view of value serving as a link, this paper analyzed the role of culture in the origin and representation of college students' mental crisis and its function in crisis coping mechanics, coming out the main idea that mental crisis is the outside expression of college students' crisis of life meaning, and cultural value would influence people's selection of crisis coping method, and view of value impact college students' ability in coping crisis.Based on the above analysis, the paper finally proposed that to improve college students' ability of resisting crisis, we should lead them building up healthy view of value through self-perceiving of culture. At the same time, colleges should create favorable conditions for students' physical and psychological health by renewing education content, changing instruction method, enriching intervention means and so on.
