The Exploration On The Individual's Moral Responsibility

Moral responsibility is an important ethics category. It plays a great role inmeta-ethics and in applied ethics. With the development of the society and economy,with the development of the science and technology, the abilities of individuals havebeen improved a lot. They can make many kinds of choices with freedom, while manypersons have deficiency in understanding the moral responsibility and ignore theirmoral responsibility. So how to realize moral responsibility and fulfill it so as to applyone's own freedom appropriately, become a problem that people face.Moral responsibility is recognized differently in Western culture and in ourtraditional culture. The article has firstly reviewed different understanding aboutmoral responsibility. In Western culture, moral responsibility is referred to more withfreedom in a certain agreement. And our traditional culture emphasizes a kind ofinstitute of obligation. In a moral and open society, moral responsibility should bedefined with new opinions, which shows that moral responsibility is based on choiceswith freedom and it is of subjectivity and objectivity, of perspectiveness andascertaining, of function and value, of history and particularity and it is carried outwith the help of individual's conscience. The second part mainly studies thephilosophy condition and reality condition that moral responsibility comes out. And atthe same time, it points out the meaning to emphasis the moral responsibility. It playsa big role in the construction of the morality, in the healthy running of the marketeconomy, in the development of society and especially it is a good way toself-cultivate. The third part finds some main fields and behaving that the peopleignore their moral responsibility. In the fourth part of this paper, it explores somecauses.The last part of this article tries out to find the corresponding settlement thinkingon the problems. All of them stay on one point, which is to strengthen the sense ofindividual moral responsibility and make more and more people bear their ownresponsibility. Thus the freedom with moral responsibility can be appliedappropriately and helps the individuals and the society get development constantly.
