The Features Of The Quantifiers And The Confusion And Comparison Between The Quantifiers Of Substantive And Action

Classifier is one of the most important categories in modern Chinese. This thesis intends to study the part of the quantifier .At first, we start with the origin of the qualifiers, analyze the semantic and grammatical character respectively. Then study the reason of the confusion of the two kinds of quantifiers. At last we study their parallel relations between them.The main contents include:1. Start with the cognitive semantic, classify the quantifier, and arrange the sub-species in the abstraction and the quantity of construction.2. Star with the cognitive semantic, categorize the quantifier of verb, put the sub-species into order according to their function, and compare their semantic and grammatical aspects.3.Analyse the "numeral+quantifier of action+noun", arrange the five examplesinto "free-structure-----semi-free-structure-----sequence", and explain theirgrammatical function.4.Point out the form of confusion of the four categories. And draw the conclusion of the parallel relation in the aspects of semantic, cognitive, focus.According to the above analysis, we think these two categories of the quantifier have agreement in the deep-rooted semantic. Gradual sequence of quantifier of substantive and action is in accordance with that of noun and verb that are defined by them.
