In order to make people better understand how the children acquire modal particles, the paper explores the development of modal particles among the children with Han nationality before five years old. The paper describes the time, frequency of sixteen modal particles and the sentence structures and patterns which the modal particles could co-occur, reveals the process, characteristics, language strategies and means of children's acquisition of modal particles. The paper is composed of 11 parts. Introduction part introduces the general survey and meaning of study about children's acquisition of modal particles, the content and aim of the paper, the judging means of modal particles in the paper, the source of data and the basic condition of children's acquisition of modal particles. Part 1 to Part 6 explore the development of syntax and pragmatic use of the six typical modal particles in details. Part 7 describes the development of syntax and pragmatic use of the five non-typical modal particles. Part 8 concisely explores the development of the combining modal particles. The phenomenon of consecutive use of modal particles is discussed in Part 9. Part 10 explores the base of cognition and language of children's acquisition of modal particles, concludes the process and characteristics of development of pragmatic use, reveals the means and language strategies of children's acquisition of modal particles and explores the social environment factors of children's acquisition of modal particles. It's concluded in the paper that children acquire modal particles in the imperative and declarative sentences earlier which has tight relation to children's cognition and language structure. Children acquire modal particles from easiness to difficulty gradually. By means of imitation, joining, replacing, addition, syntactic extension, syntactic assimilation, children acquire modal particles. Strategies of definition, partiality and choosing the latter are used to acquire modal particles for children. And hometown dialect has very important effect on children's acquisition of modal particles.
